Our Nuclear Medicine Department uses the latest radioactive technology to properly assess and determine treatment for illnesses like cancer and heart diseases.We prioritize safety through following the As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) International Guidelines.

SERVICES THAT MAKE YOU WELL
Accurate diagnosis on the severity of illness such as cancer, heart disease, gastrointestinal, and other disorders.
Bone Mineral Densitometry
using pencil-like X-ray, this test accurately measures amount of bone mineral/ bone density.
Nuclear Medicine Scans/Scintigraphy
imaging scans done on the body’s tissues and organs. First, a radioactive tracer is infused into a vein concentrating in a particular tissue or organ; then a special camera captures the image created by the tracer.
Radioactive Iodine Therapy/Ablation Therapy
a treatment used to reduce thyroid mass to treat toxic parts or destroy residual thyroid tissue after surgery for cancer. It’s also done to ablate thyroid cancer already scattered in the lymph nodes.
Radioactive Iodine Uptake
a test that diagnoses problems in the thyroid, handling of iodine and in hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism.
Immunoradiometric Assays
a form of assay that uses radiolabeled antibodies.
Radioimmunoassays
a very sensitive procedure that measures miniscule amounts of substances in the blood.
